100 Birthday Gifts from God?!?!?!

Sunday was my birthday... 31 years young!  I had no idea the surprise that would be waiting for me as the day passed by.  Larry had taken me shopping the night before and the morning was nice and relaxing as my hubby made me breakfast and did the dishes.  But the best was yet to come!

We had received an e-mail from some missionaries that said they were having a "free garage sale."  I thought the place would be packed, but when we arrived there were only a few people there.  My friend kept telling me to get whatever we needed.  Since we didn't ship anything from the States, we pretty much needed everything!  I didn't want to take it all, so I just kept walking around the apartment looking at things here and there.  A few families came and went, and after a while we were the only ones there.  That's when my friend just started putting things to the side.  She would say, "Do you know what this is?  You missed this!  Please, take it!"  Before long we had a corner of the room with things like:  pots and pans, dishes, glasses, vacuum cleaner, clothes, too many things to name here.  They even gave us their speakers that hook up to an ipod!

When we got home and put everything on the table, I just shook my head in amazement!  I told Larry, "And I didn't think I would have any birthday presents to unwrap!"  That is the kind of God we serve!  We have an inheritance from our heavenly Father that far exceeds what we could ever imagine.  Larry and I know that they were gifts from our Maker and we praise Him for how He has provided!

Later that day we enjoyed a nice Italian dinner at a little cozy restaurant where Larry tried "rabbit" for the first time!  It reminded us of turkey... since turkey is so expensive, maybe we will have rabbit for thanksgiving:-)

You were right in your email to me - a truly wonderful, amazing day. Thanking the Lord with you for HIS provision. May you continue to be blessed as you bless so many others.
