A Good Work Complete

One year ago my cousin Gregory died in a car accident while serving as a summer missionary in Peru. I remember when my Mom told me what happened. I couldn't believe it. Here was a young man, who just graduated college, and was serving God in a foreign land and suddenly he was no longer with us. I haven't really spoken to anyone about how I felt about it except Amanda. I thought to myself, why? I realized I might never know the answer to that question.
A few days later I remembered a verse... Phil 1:6 "Being confident of this, that he who began a good work in you will carry it on to completion until the day of Christ Jesus." I know it talks about the day of Jesus' return, but it also says the completion of the work started in you. Gregory answered the call to serve and had served the Lord throughout his life. I believe the good work started in him was complete and God called Gregory home. Some people might wonder what Gregory's life may have been like if he were still with us on earth... I don't, because I know he is where he belongs. And I rejoice.
